JUNIOR ACADEMY (U6 - U8)
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Practices for the Junior Academy program will be at Henderson Park. Boys train on Monday and Wednesday evenings and Girls on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Training sessions will be conducted by a professional trainer with a focus on developing fundamental movement skills and fundamental soccer skills that permit a child to read their environment and make appropriate decisions, allowing them to move confidently and with control in a wide range of situations. Fall training begins in late-August and will end early-November. Spring training runs late-February thru early-May.
Games will be scheduled at Henderson Park within the Recreational Game Schedule. Junior Academy members will belong to a pool of players and will be placed on teams for games.
JUNIOR ACADEMY (U6 – U8)
REGISTRATION
Registration for U6 and U7 Junior Academy divisions are open to everyone within the age parameters. Tryouts will be held for U8 players. Applications will be taken through February 16th, but late fees will apply after January 31.

Applicants for the Junior Academy program should display the following:

For your convenience, TYSA offers a Payment Plan which divides registration fees into monthly installments. If you feel you may need additional assistance, you may apply for aid.
UNIFORMS
All Junior Academy players will wear the TYSA Jr Academy uniform. You will receive an email from Lloyd’s Soccer with ordering instructions in the days following your registration. The green home jersey is the same as the TYSA Rec shirt, but the black away jersey does differ slightly from the Rec version. If your child has a Rec uniform already, you will only need to purchase the Jr Academy black away jersey. This will double as your child’s practice shirt, along with the shorts and socks.
