JUNIOR ACADEMY (U6 – U8)

The TYSA Junior Academy soccer program is for both boys and girls ages U6 thru U8. The program bridges the gap between the TYSA Recreational Program and the Triumph Academy Program. We recognize that there are many talented and enthusiastic players looking for a more focused environment in which to grow their skills.

Junior Academy provides additional challenges in a more structured soccer format and is intended for participants in the U6, U7 & U8 age groups who possess good basic soccer skills and desire to excel. Players in this program are exposed to a more challenging training environment than Recreation.

The primary focus is on developing the correct technical and basic tactical elements that are needed to graduate into the U8-U12 Triumph Academy program.

JUNIOR ACADEMY (U6 – U8)

Practices for the Junior Academy program will be at Henderson Park. Boys train on Monday and Wednesday evenings and Girls on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Training sessions will be conducted by a professional trainer with a focus on developing fundamental movement skills and fundamental soccer skills that permit a child to read their environment and make appropriate decisions, allowing them to move confidently and with control in a wide range of situations. Fall training begins in late-August and will end early-November. Spring training runs late-February thru early-May.

Games will be scheduled at Henderson Park within the Recreational Game Schedule. Junior Academy members will belong to a pool of players and will be placed on teams for games.
